Our congregation is one of nearly 11,000 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA is a community of 5.2 million people who seek to be faithful witnesses to the Biblical promise that God brings salvation through His mercy and gift of grace.

People today are in great need of salvation. We live lives which are full of stress, pain and confusion. We search for joy and meaning in a world that seems chaotic and out of control. Into our desperate situation, God declares hope for our reality.

In the Bible, Ephesians 4:12 tells us that God desires all people to work together in His kingdom for the equipping of the saints, for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. This is our quest at Our Savior's as we seek to be a people whose vision is Growing Together in Christ: Reaching Out in Love

As I see it, we express this vision through three spiritual experiences: 1)Growing through worship; 2)Growing through intentional, relational ministry--like small groups and youth and family ministry; and 3) Growing through faithful use of our personal gifts and resources.

Our Savior's has a primary emphasis on empowering the spiritual lives of youth and their families. Our Youth Minister is Ellen Whittington. We offer a diverse music and worship experience which unite us to God and one another. This ministry is led by our Director of Music, Jan Houser. Our small group ministry equipper is Carla Holste who connects people in safe group environments where we search together to discover God's will for our everyday lives.  For further information see the Youth Web pages.
