Luther's Prayer for Guidance
Dear Lord
God, give us Your guidance that we may rightly understand Your
Word, and more than that, do it. O most blessed Lord Jesus Christ, see
to it that our search after knowledge leads us to glorify you alone. If
not, let us not know a single letter. Give only what we, poor sinners,
need to glorify you. Amen.
Our Savior's Prayer Emphasis

We are so often deceived into believing
that our enemy is other people around us. However, God tells us that
our enemy is the forces of spiritual darkness. When we read the
Bible, we usually assume references to "rulers" means humans. But the
Bible may likely be referring to cosmic powers instead. Remember
that Satan is considered to be the "god of this world." Especially in
the Church, we are to be united in praying against our common foe. Too
often we see each other as the enemy. Then the only winner is Satan.
Please join us in specific daily prayer
where we are committed to:
- Create the time to simply enjoy God's presence, to be "growing together in Christ."
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and minister to you.
- Command all other voices to be silent, hearing only God's voice with discernment.
- Pray Psalm 51 for a clean heart and the joy of God's salvation.
- As a baptized child of God, claim Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your day.
- Bind curses against you, your family, the church, and our place of employment.
- Retract curses made by you, including those made by you against yourself.
- Send blessings/angels to those who have made and received curses, including you.
- Pray for protection of you, family, church, leaders, prayer team members, and the office of pastor.
- Pray for protection of your property, church property, travel, cars, pets, etc.
- Take authority in the name of Jesus over health concerns and demonic influence.
- Pray for your ministry emphasis (work, home, school) and those involved in it.
- Pray for our congregation to be a magnet for people who need a church home.
- Pray for an abundance of people to worship on Sunday, both guests and members.
- Pray for worship leaders, Sunday School teachers, ushers, etc.
- Pray that God's Spirit will touch each worshipper in profound ways.
- Pray for abundant resources and proper stewardship of them.
- Pray that any blockages to our ministry might be broken down.
- Pray for every person that God places in your mind.
- Pray for God to bless every person who comes to mind, be indiscriminate.
- Bless those who hurt you, those you have trouble liking.
- Pray for boldness in your day to be "reaching out in Love."
