Ministry Opportunities
God blesses each person with gifts, spiritual and financial, for us
to incorporate into our lives in
following Him. These are abundant resources, so we respond to
God’s care from a sense of gratitude, not scarcity. We joyfully
minister then from what has been given uniquely to us as gifts to share.
Time
Congregational Ministry Teams:
- Buildings and Grounds offers hands-on care for God’s
creation.
- Education provides Biblical-based learning for people of
all ages.
- Evangelism incorporates people into Christian community.
- Lay Ministry utilizes our Care Ministry for
one-on-one relationships, our Mustard Seed small groups to
dig deeper spiritually, our TeleCare group which connects people via
the telephone, and our Women’s Ministry that gathers for education and
prayer.
- Social Ministry addresses people’s needs for food,
clothing and shelter.
- Stewardship looks at how to live life well as faithful
people of God.
- Worship ministers through gifts of Choirs, 11:00 Worship
Team, Prayer
Team, Handbells, and Puppets.
- Youth Ministry builds young people’s faith through
events, education
and groups.
Talents
Spiritual Gift Assessment:
- We believe it is vital to
assess people’s spiritual gifts and discover how God desires to
integrate those gifts into His kingdom through our lives.
- For upcoming spiritual gifts seminar information, contact the
church office at 636-2609 or
email us at oslcjcmo@socket.net.
Treasures
Three Options:
- Regular Offerings support budget ministries such as
pastoral, youth,
small group, music, office, education, evangelism, maintenance and
spiritual development. This includes missions in the United States and
world-wide.
- Local ministries beyond our
congregation are facilitated through the Social Ministry Fund.
This provides assistance in
emergency needs.
- The Contingency Fund is an expanded form of the previous
worship
enhancement fund. It exists to address unexpected facility
needs.
