Potluck Meal and
Celebration of
GRADUATION/CONFIRMATION: Mark
your Calendars NOW!
Graduation Class of 2008 will include Luke Brockman, Lucas Carlson and
Matt Musselman. The LYO will be providing a cake on Sunday, May
11th after the One Worship Service celebrating Pentecost as well as
celebrating the Confirmation of Kamry Volkmer. Anyone wishing to
help us with planning, decorating and providing other refreshments,
please contact Kim Brockman or Ellen Whittington.
Saint Louis Zoo Trip for Families: Sign
up now for the Saint Louis Zoo Trip for Families sponsored by the
elementary youth group. We have chartered a school bus for this event
to be held Saturday, May 17th. We will leave the church at 7:30 a.m.
and leave the Saint Louis Zoo no later than 4:00 p.m. Cost is $10.00
for adults and $5.00 for children. Bring sack lunches and snacks. We
will have two "follow" vehicles for coolers and emergies. Sign-up
deadline is May 11.
Current Sermon Series: Gifts
of Grace is our current sermon series for Sunday mornings. We
will be celebrating the many ways God gifts us for
life, including peace, promise, protection, place, Paraclete (Holy
Spirit), prayer, power of Pentecost. The resurrected Christ
changes the impact of our realities in dramatic ways. Come share
in lifting up how God gifts us for life, now and eternal.
MINISTRY TEAM TEMPLE TALKS: This
is an opportunity to hear about the different ministries going on at
Our Savior’s. You are greatly encouraged to share your special
God-given talents/abilities with the team that best matches those
talents and abilities. On May 11th, the Youth Ministry will be
highlighted. We welcome you to join a team! You can be the difference!
Sewing Kits: The Women of the ELCA are
collecting sewing kits during April We need the following items: three
yards of cotton fabric, one package of needles, one spool of thread,
and one card of buttons. Wrap all items in fabric and tie with yarn.
Place items in box in Narthex and they will be sent to Lutheran World
Relief. Thanks!

Yesterday’s
Children
Invitation: Yesterday's Children have
been invited to join the Prime Time Club of United Church of Christ for
their annual luncheon on May 27, 2008. Don Viet will speak
promptly at 11am on “Walt Disney’s Missouri: The Roots of a Creative
Genius”, lunch will follow at 12:15pm. Please let Vivian Legreid
896-6199 know if you will be attending by May 20th so they can provide
for the luncheon and seating. Let’s get together and GO!
13th Annual Golf
Tournament of Our Savior's Church: The tourney will be held May 12,
2007 at Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City. It will start at 10:00
a.m. and will be the usual 2 person scramble with teams to be
determined after the sign up process. The green fees will be $21 with a
cart and prizes will be given to all participants. Sign up on the sheet
on the bulletin board in the narthex or contact Bob Anderson by May 4.
